The Information Systems (IS) group at ESSEC Business School invites
applications for ESSEC’s PhD program. ESSEC offers PhD scholarships
covering tuition fees and generous stipends (23,000 euros/year) for
talented students of various backgrounds and from around the world, on the
basis of research potential and academic achievement.
Faculty in ESSEC’s IS group (with nine full-time faculty) conduct research
on a variety of topics, including digital business, IS design,
implementation, and use, data governance and analytics, and IS theory and
research methods. In the most recent research ranking of the Association
for Information Systems, ESSEC ranks 3rd in Europe/Africa/Middle East in
terms of publications in the three leading IS journals—MIS Quarterly,
Information Systems Research, and Journal of Management Information
Systems—in the period from 2014 to 2018.
ESSEC is a leading global business school (ranked 3rd for its Master in
Management Program by the Financial Times) whose triple location (France,
Singapore, and Morocco) and international network of outstanding partner
institutions offer ample opportunities to engage in exchanges with the
larger academic community. Our location in the suburbs of Paris provides
easy access to one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
